Role Purpose

Responsible for the safe execution and supervision of all lifting operations in accordance with ADNOC Lifting & Hoisting requirements, approved lifting plans, PTW conditions, and site HSE requirements. The Lifting Supervisor ensures lifting activities are conducted exactly as specified in the approved method statement and lifting plan.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Planning & Control

• Review lifting plans and risk assessments.
• Verify lifting studies for non-routine and critical lifts.
• Participate in PTW reviews.
• Coordinate with Performing Authority, Area Authority, Crane Operator, Riggers, and HSE personnel.

Operational Supervision

• Supervise all lifting activities at site.
• Ensure cranes, lifting gear, and accessories are certified and inspected.
• Verify SWL/WLL requirements.
• Conduct pre-lift meetings and toolbox talks.
• Ensure exclusion zones are established.

Safety Responsibilities

• Stop work authority for unsafe lifting conditions.
• Verify weather and environmental conditions.
• Ensure compliance with ADNOC Work Management System requirements.
• Prevent dropped-object incidents.

ADNOC Competency Expectations

• ADNOC-approved Lifting Supervisor certification.
• Knowledge of:- Critical Lift Procedures
  – Rigging & Slinging
  – Load Weight Calculations
  – Centre of Gravity determination
  – Crane safety requirements
  – PTW system
  – Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Task Risk Assessment (TRA).

Typical Minimum Qualification

• Diploma or Technical Certificate.
• ADNOC-approved Lifting Supervisor certificate.
• 5–10 years oil & gas lifting experience.
• Minimum 3 years in supervisory role.
