We are seeking an experienced Logistics Optimization Specialist with strong expertise in fleet management, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing historical data, optimizing fleet movement between project sites, warehouses, vendors and improving overall logistics efficiency for construction and oil & gas operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret historical fleet and transportation data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.
- Develop forecasting models to predict future resource and fleet requirements.
- Design and implement strategies to optimize fleet routing, scheduling, and asset utilization.
- Collaborate with site operations, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure efficient transport planning.
- Recommend and implement technology or software solutions for logistics and fleet management improvement.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and continuously improve logistics performance and cost efficiency.
- Prepare reports and dashboards for management to support data-driven decisions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards in fleet movement.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
- Proven experience (5+ years preferred) in logistics optimization, fleet management, or transportation planning, preferably in construction or oil & gas sectors.
- Strong analytical and data modeling skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Python, or similar analytics tools.
- Experience with fleet management software or optimization tools is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
