Technical & Operational
- Possess complete knowledge of Logging Unit, Downhole Tools, Operating Software, and procedures to operate various wireline tools and equipment
- Plan and prepare for execution of specific logging jobs in consultation with the client by collecting all required inputs
- Organize, calibrate, test, and mobilize equipment safely for transportation to site
- Execute wireline logging operations efficiently, ensuring all job objectives are met within the planned time
- Provide log prints, data, and initial field reports to site officials for interpretation
- Prepare and submit detailed job reports highlighting complete job execution details
Tool & Service Expertise
- Fully conversant with:
– Cased Hole Logging (Mandatory)
– Open Hole Logging (Preferred)
– CBL / VDL / USIT
– Production Logging (PLT), Spinners
– Borehole Imaging
– Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR)
– LWD / MWD
– Hydrocarbon typing
– Sampling tools
– Perforation types & explosives
– RSS, DST tools
– Downhole equipment setting
HSE & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with HSE policies, SOPs, standard instructions, and legal guidelines
- Conduct pre-job safety meetings with rig crew to identify and mitigate hazards
- Monitor all safety-related activities including:
– Driving safety
– Handling of radioactive sources
– Explosives operations
- Ensure possession and validity of all mandatory certifications and licenses
- Maintain full H2S safety compliance
Leadership & Training
- Supervise and guide the logging crew during job execution
- Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to new crew members and operators
- Demonstrate strong leadership qualities, especially during critical operations
- Remain accessible 24×7 while on call
Client & Reporting
- Communicate effectively with clients and site officials
- Proficient in writing all types of wireline-related technical and operational reports
- Deliver professional presentations and explanations of job results
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of wireline experience
- Cased Hole experience – Mandatory
- Onshore + Offshore exposure
- H2S certified
- Experience working in minimum 3 countries / pedigree clients
- Exposure to instrumentation
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
