Roles & Responsibilities:
TRS Operations & Equipment Handling
- Operate and maintain TRS Smart and Conventional Tools for running casing/tubing (CSGs/Tubings) and other drilling tools.
- Perform rig-up and rig-down operations, including handling Bucking Units, Hydraulic Catwalks, and associated rig floor equipment.
- Assist the Driller/Tool Pusher in all operations before, during, and after TRS jobs.
Knowledge & Technical Expertise
- Strong understanding of general drilling processes and handling of tools/equipment such as V-Door, Automated Catwalk, Pneumatic Winches, Rotary Table, Top Drive System, Driller’s Console, Kelly Swivel, BOPs, Safety Clamps, Spider Slips, and Single Joint Elevators.
- Knowledge of well control situations, stuck pipe scenarios, and ability to take immediate corrective action during TRS operations.
- Familiarity with TRS Smart Tool features, including maximum torque, push-down capacity, rotation speed, make-up/break-out torques, and equipment utility during stuck situations.
- Conduct inspections, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs on TRS equipment (e.g., greasing, hose replacements, rollers, grapples, jaws, and other parts).
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Safely assist crane operations for moving TRS equipment on the rig floor, using proper taglines and hand signals.
- Actively participate in toolbox talks (TBT) and pre-tour meetings, understanding job plans, pinch points, and potential hazards.
Critical Skills & Troubleshooting
- In-depth knowledge of different types of TRS Smart Equipment (internal/external systems) and their operating capacities.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and carry out routine maintenance on TRS and associated rig equipment.
Collaboration & Documentation
- Work collaboratively with field teams to support ongoing projects and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation of tasks performed, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with Bucking Units and Hydraulic Catwalks.
- Strong technical knowledge of TRS operations and associated rig floor equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in challenging field environments.
- Relevant technical certifications or training preferred.
