Roles & Responsibilities

VSP Operations & Data Acquisition:

• Assist in VSP / Walkaway VSP / Checkshot survey operations at wellsite
• Support tool preparation, testing, calibration, and deployment
• Perform rig-up and rig-down of VSP and wireline equipment
• Monitor real-time data acquisition and report any anomalies
• Ensure correct depth correlation and tool positioning
• Support basic data quality checks (QC) during recording

Equipment & Technical Support:

• Handle and maintain borehole seismic tools, geophones, cables, and surface systems
• Identify and assist in troubleshooting tool, noise, or operational issues
• Ensure equipment is handled, stored, and transported as per standards
• Assist in routine maintenance and pre-job / post-job checks

HSE & Compliance:

• Strictly follow HSE guidelines, wellsite safety rules, and company procedures
• Participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments, and safety drills
• Ensure proper use of PPE at all times
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents, or near misses immediately

Reporting & Coordination:

• Assist in preparing daily activity reports and job logs
• Coordinate with VSP Engineer, wireline crew, drilling team, and client representatives
• Support documentation and handover of job-related data
